I love growing high performing teams and fostering a culture of creativity and innovation. I have led teams of Designers and UX specialists responsible for all aspects of design including research, interaction design, branding and content. With a broad range of leadership experiences, I work alongside other senior leaders to conceptualise and execute strategic plans at the organisational level.
In my roles at Optimal Workshop and PaperKite I’ve developed diverse high-performing teams who I work alongside to solve really meaningful human challenges. I’ve provided product vision and strategy for SaaS products, and have provided consultation for senior stakeholders at organisations such as Coca-Cola, BP, and the All Blacks. I’ve also established a Research and Discovery practice – a entirely new service offering for the business.
I'm passionate about contributing to the tech community to connect and be inspired from other like-minded folk. I’ve presented on stage at a number of events including Design Outlook, UX New Zealand, and TechWeek; and hosted a Global Accessibility Awareness Day event in 2021. I continue to happily volunteer my time to Victoria University in both speaking and mentoring roles.
I like wearing a lot of hats, and have done so over my time in the industry. I believe work needs to be fun and fulfilling. That means working towards solving challenging problems that can have meaningful impacts. I have a bias towards action, moving quickly, and taking calculated risks. I look at the big picture, but never lose sight of the small details that often have the largest impact. I thrive in environments where people are empowered to challenge the status quo and shake things up to make things better.
